- It’s nearly Christmas again. The years go by so quickly, a new year starts and, before we know it, it’s over and we’re welcoming in another year. These are the poignant and beautiful words from the “Rubaiyat” of Omar Khayyam (translation by Edward Fitzgerald) about the passing of time:
